| « A Fitting Punishment for the Gay Ken Mehlman | Isn't this where we came in to the movie? » |
I wonder what my friends who are family law lawyers think of family law judges like Judge William Adams of Texas who feel justified in beating their daughters with leather belts. The judge who raised his lost temper as a defense to this abomination apparently feels he was justifed. I dont. He accused his daugther who is at least to some degree disabled of stealing content i.e music and video games off of the internet. It seems to me that more could have been accomplished in the area of discipline if the judge had considered the possibility of talking to his daughter about what he called stealing. I remmeber once losing my temper over some now long forgotten upset and tossing my keys with all of my strength into the rear door of my office many years ago. The heys went flying into the door and the key to my car penetrated deep into the door, lodged there for a few seconds and then broke off and fell to the concrete door stoop. I don't now remember why I launched those keys but I sure do remember having to call a locksmith to make me another key so I could go home that night andI still remember the couple of hundred dollars the locksmith charged to save me from my temper tantrum. At any rate Judge Admas has been totally disgraced and has lost all credibility in his position as a judge in a very important area of the law. He has taken a leave of absence from the bench pending an investigation. He should simply turn out the lights in his chambers and resign his office. Lord knows that judges and lawyers are maligned enough already. We don't need people like Adams holding the profession up to more ridicule. Say goodnight, Gracie.
